Paintings
Yvonne Rooding sees life as a cycle, a continual alternation in the
cosmos by which opposite attracts and rejects each other alternatively
This subject is in general invisible, inaudible, without shape, without
beginning or end and beyond space or time.
These cyclic elements she translates them into circular shapes, to point
out events in your life. The theme “contradistinction” is regularly used.
This applies both to her 2 and 3 dimensional work
The contradistinction of light and darkness are clearly indicated in her
work. The infinite space of the universe has an important role in her
paintings. This is symbolized by deep dark blue colors.
She use symbols (keys till consciousness) to work out her theme.
With the end result, that brings up associations of colorful whirlpools,
bubbling eruptions, penetrating collisions, floating cocoons and
DNA-spirals.
The paintings are work out with acrylic on canvas or drawing ink and
rubber on paper, which ensures surprising textures.

Objects
/ Installation
More often Yvonne Rooding is to see with her spatially work, in which
frequently other sense organs then the sight are stimulated, another way
to experience art. To be ( awake ) shake up from the daily visible
reality and experience the other side.
Silk-screen
Her silkscreen prints are, in contradiction to her paintings, mainly a
representation of objective form. Central is the human body, mostly of
woman. The prints are limited in number to guaranty exclusiveness.
Multimedia
She gained her skills for visual communication during her stay at the
art academy of s’Hertogenbosch. For electronic products Yvonne Rooding
designs the visual aspect. She finds a challenge in creating suitable
graphic and illustrative designs within the technical limitations and
possibilities of this medium. She realised already several projects, the
CD-Rom “View on Venlo”, the virtual gallery Q and of course this
site.
